Hello and welcome to 2012 and a brand new year.  We are very excited going into this new year as we are looking forward to growing our business and creating bigger and even better shows and effects than ever before.

HUMAN MOBILE AERIAL RIG
In 2011 we introduced our new Human Mobile Aerial Show.  This coming year we intend to make this unique structure the base for many outdoor aerial performances.  It is so diverse and easy to implement and the results are are so effective that we just love it. 

The Human Mobile Aerial Show is a three performer aerial structure that we fly up to 50 feet in the air. This unique structure provides the perfect base for both pyrotechnics and aerial performance. It is easy to build on site and we suspend the rig from an industrial crane to fly it high in the air.  We can also supply the crane and all permits as well to make this a turn-key performance.

THE OPENING CEREMONIES OF THE SOUTH EAST ASIAN GAMES
PALEMBANG INDONESIA

In November we had the opportunity to provide a unique flying effect for the opening ceremonies of the South East Asian Games (SEA Games) in Palembang Indonesia.  The effect that the show director wanted to achieve was one where their gold medal winning badminton player, Susi Susanti, was to fly through the air rom a tall ship set piece located on the field to the fire cauldron over four hundred feet away!  Along the flight path she was to reach a height of 90 feet in the air all while holding a flaming spear.  When the Susi was close enough to the cauldron she threw the spear that ignited the huge flame that burned for the duration of the 14 day long event.  The real trick was that the whole event took place in an open-air stadium there were no overhead rigging points. 

How did we do it?  Well, without getting too into the technical details, we used two very large industrial crawler cranes set up just outside each end of the stadium.  These cranes were used to rig the tensioned cable highlines that supported our traveler syste. Another system of smaller gauge cable was used to create both the horizontal and vertical control of the performer.  The whole system was driven by two large high-speed entertainment winches and controlled with a computer.  Easy!
